Past Grantees

Following an extensive planning and evaluation process that began in 2015, The Lake County Community Foundation has shifted its grant making strategy to achieve a more proactive and narrowed focus for greater impact. In 2017, LCCF established a new approach that combines strategic community leadership with intentional organizational investment—ultimately leading to a more streamlined coordination of countywide efforts.

Grant making in pursuit of the Foundation’s mission and vison encompasses a strategic focus on four areas:

  • Improving access to affordable, nutritious food by coordinating Lake County’s local food system
  • Addressing basic human needs
  • Supporting early childhood development and education
  • Promoting animal welfare across Lake County
