The Lake County Community Foundation announces its 2015 competitive grant cycle is now open and Project Screening Forms will be accepted until Friday February 13, 2015.
“Last year we had an amazing pool of nonprofit organizations with excellent proposals and we are looking forward to seeing the diversity of potential impact this year’s projects may bring,” said Maggie Morales, the Foundation’s Manager of Community Engagement.
In June 2014, The Lake County Community Foundation, an affiliate of The Chicago Community Trust, announced $193,500 in grants to local nonprofit organizations serving the urgent needs of the most vulnerable individuals and families in the county.
Funds were allocated to eleven diverse projects. Aligned with the Foundation’s strategic grant making priorities, last year’s grants addressed the areas of Livable Communities, Human Capital and Efficient Governance as articulated in the comprehensive regional plan GoTo2040.
The Foundation’s competitive grant cycle is a two-part process that begins with the submission of a Project Screening Form. Qualifying organizations will be invited to complete a full proposal. Final grant decisions will be announced in June 2015.
