Strengthening Capacity and Collaboration
The Lake County Community Foundation held its inaugural conference for not-for-profit organizations serving Lake County on June 1 at Hewitt Associates. The theme of the conference was Strengthening Collaboration and Capacity and featured topics such as measuring success, strategic planning, board development, fundraising, and raising capital. The luncheon keynote address was delivered by Illinois State Senator Susan Garrett.

The Lake County Community Foundation offered a series of capacity building workshops for Lake County not-for-profits in April, June and September 2006.
